The Kingdom of God

 May 2020

My very dear and precious friends in Christ,
It has now been more than a month since we last gathered in person to worship, offer thanks, and celebrate our ‘life together’ in Christ.

We are confined by a condition that is presented in the kingdom of this world. We feel the effect and our world and lifestyles have changed. We wonder what ‘is next’ and ‘how’ we will endure the days and changes still to come.

We feel the effect and our world and lifestyles have changed. We wonder what ‘is next’ and ‘how’ we will endure the days and changes still to come. As we consider our current condition, I also encourage you to look to your faith that provides so much more than we may ever know.

We are freed by a loving Lord and Savior who is our hope in the Kingdom of God. This world will do everything possible to frighten, limit, and weaken us, while our faith will continue to strengthen, sustain, and secure us in a holy and pure relationship that has no limits and no end.

Today is the time when ‘normal’ is being redefined, and frankly, we do not know what tomorrow will look like. My friends, fear not and always give thanks for today. Our Lord shares with us “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matt. 6:34 – ESV)

We live in the present, which is the only time and place where we can make a difference; we cannot change the past or predict the future. We will make a difference today with all that God has granted us, we will move in the direction the Spirit guides us, and we will thrive with all the love, care, and promises our Lord provides us.

Tomorrow will come all too soon; therefore, let us continue to work together, today, in the Kingdom of gracious, good, and Almighty God. ~ Pastor Tony
